Brilliant new coffees
We’ve never had it so good in this country in terms of specialty coffees. And I’m just a little frustrated that I’ll be away for a few weeks just when the flow of some superb coffees is starting.

Direct relationship coffee is gaining support in many western coffee-loving countries.
This is where there is a direct connection between the grower of the coffee and the roaster, leaving out the grower auction process, the wholesaler and one or two other middlemen.

Green Coffee of the Month
I’m been surprised at the interest in a Green Coffee of the Month Club.
The idea being that home roasters could pay a 3, 6 or 12 month ‘subscription’ and have a package of 1, 2, or 2.5Kg of different green beans delivered to their door each month.
Now perhaps some of the interest is understandable in the light of the demise of Ozgreens, and some people might say that this idea is no different.
But I beg to differ…
