Domincan Republic Coffee

Unlike many coffee growing countries, the Dominican Republic grows most of it’s coffee for local consumption. Which means that a lot of the coffee that is exported is, well, ordinary quality.

Ridgeback Estate Coffee

Challenging my disdain for Australian-grown coffee again, I have the chance to chance to roast up some promising beans from Ridgeback Estate in far north Queensland.
The description is promising and the sample roast looks good…

Coelho's Gold Monsooned Malabar

If you have never come across a Monsooned Malabar before, this is a very unusual bean.
This a high quality coffee grown in a hilly range in India called the Western Ghats under ideal coffee-growing conditions.
Then the monsooning process start…

Ministry Grounds Blend

I openly admit to being pretty new to the art of blending coffee beans. I’ve been experimenting with blending for about six months or so (at time of writing), but I’ve already developed a huge respect for those who produce complex, tantilising, constantly changing – yet still the same coffee blends.

HAB Decaf Espresso blend

Until I tasted this blend, I was a decaf scoffer!
But this blend (pre-blended by the distributors) is actually very drinkable.
