El Salvador Cup of Excellence 2009 heading this way
The last few weeks has seen a run of Cup of Excellence judging and auctions in and around Central American coffee growing countries.
I normally don’t pay a huge amount of attention to them, other than general coffee curiosity, but now I hooked up with the supply chain for Mercanta coffees, suddenly getting my hands on some CoE coffee is no longer a remote dream.
Just this week, I was reading about the auction of El Salvador CoE coffee and saw that Mercanta – on behalf of Melbourne Coffee Merchants has purchased two lots:
First lot
Second Lot
And that means they are coming this way! From everything I hear they will be a treat indeed… Stay tuned for more info in due course…

Dan Yee · Jun 7, 06:16 PMThat’s fantastic Neil – I’ve had a couple of the Nic CoEs on rare occasions, so it’s great that this stuff is finally making its way to us
Jason · Jun 8, 01:08 AMYeah, should be special… I have no idea what price will be like, but I understand the auction went to a lot less than expected… ;-)
